Ever thought your shopping spree could contribute to a great cause?

Well, Emery Gate Shopping Centre is making that happen! As part of our innovative ‘12 Exchanges’ scheme, we’re inviting local charities to share their stories and missions.

This November, it’s all about affordable housing.

What is Waste Not Want Not?

Imagine working hard all your life and ending up with very little.

Imagine the cold streets being your only refuge.

Imagine having to be re-housed due to domestic abuse and owning nothing.

14 million people in the UK are living in poverty.

Many people have ended up in situations where their belongings only fit into a few bags. Mothers, with their children and young adults. Can you imagine having nothing to your name?

Through no fault of your own?

Waste Not Want Not (WNWN) aims to turn a house into a home. Providing those with low incomes or no belongings, a functional and comfortable space. They supply goods to over 4,000 individuals each year.

They not only provide furniture and white goods. They also bring hope and compassion.

With each donation to WNWN you are helping your community and supporting struggling families. By doing this, you are truly making a difference.

Waste Not Want Not Chippenham Is Coming To Emery Gate

On Wednesday, 22nd November 2023, Waste Not Want Not Chippenham is setting up a stall inside Emery Gate to raise vital funds for the community.

They are committed to helping our community and have recycled a whopping 74 metric tonnes of goods, all thanks to their team of 35 volunteers.

How You Can Make a Difference

You can donate cash when you’re shopping in the centre or arrange for a furniture donation when a time is convenient for you at a later date. If entering a raffle is more your thing you might win a prize in exchange for a donation!
